Fundraising Assistant

at GS-6 level for a fixed-term appointment in Beijing

We're looking for a diligent and motivated new staff member for our Partnership and Fundraising team. Under the direct supervision of a Corporate Alliance Specialist, the incumbent will support the implementation of established strategies and activity plans for acquiring corporate partnerships in China.

Key responsibilities

Support in the acquisition of new corporate partners/donors, and assist in providing account support and donor care to corporate partners/donors. This entails:

  • Research and recommend lists of targeted prospects
  • Submit online corporate screening on agreed target lists and keep regular updates of the screening status of existing partners and active prospects
  • Arrange/accompany fundraising team members to meetings and do follow up work leading to partnership acquisition
  • Support in developing corporate pitch documents
  • Support in preparing MOUs/Agreements for signing with corporate partners/donors.
  • Maintain good rapport with personnel of partners/donors
  • Finalize UNICEF related content in publication materials and joint corporate events
  • Monitor outstanding donation commitments of partners/donors
  • Execute ad hoc assignments as needed, and back up team members for administration and operation related works
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing/Sales/Communication/PR/Economics or related fields that require an understanding of research
  • Six years of working experience in sales/marketing/PR/research or related fields, of which at least one year is closely related to direct support to clients on communications/sales/marketing or related activities.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin
  • Nationality of P.R. China
