Thailand: Consultancy: Workshop Facilitator Network Meeting

Purpose of Assignment:

  • Contribute to the design of the meeting
  • Make expert contributions in the area of multi-sectoral approaches to violence against children
  • Facilitate the meeting
  • Work Assignment:

    Under supervision of the Regional Advisor - Child Protection, the consultant will perform the following tasks:

  • In consultation with the EAPRO child protection team, country office focal points and external and internal resource people/stakeholders as necessary, develop detailed session plans for the child protection network meeting;
  • Facilitate the actual conduct of the meeting, including providing daily feedback on the conduct of the meeting. Some of the facilitation may be delegated to other meting participants.
  • Provide expert inputs into sessions on results based management, violence against children, and child protection systems strengthening, and specifically deliver a presentation on multi-sectoral responses to violence against children.
  • Deliverables and Work Schedule:

    1 March 2017:

    Delivery of Draft Agenda with indicative session outlines

    17 March 2017:

    Delivery of Final Agenda with detailed session plans, ready for distribution to participants

    27 March 2017, 14:00 – 17:00 hrs. :

    Participation at preparatory meeting in Bangkok

    28 – 30 March 2017:

    Participation in meeting. Power Point presentation on multi-sectoral response to violence against children

    Estimated Duration of Contract: 10 days over the period of February – March 2017

    Official Travel: The consultant will work from home and travel to Bangkok

    Qualifications or Specialized Knowledge/Experience Required:

  • Advance University degree in Social Sciences or related field
  • At least ten years of professional work experience in Child Protection
  • Detailed knowledge of UNICEF child protection strategies and programmes
  • Experience in facilitation of participatory technical meetings
  • Excellent communication in written and spoken English
  • Computer literacy in various office applications
  • Interested candidates are requested to submit CV/P11, 2 references, proposed daily professional fee and all-inclusive travel cost (ticket to Bangkok and subsistence cost – if applicable) in USD by 11 February 2017.Please note the air tickets under UNICEF contract shall be re-routable, refundable type (economy class and most direct route). The consultant will be responsible for own travel insurance, visa fee and terminal expenses.
