Purpose of the Assignment
UNICEF is currently undertaking a large scale migration and redevelopment of its knowledge management solutions into Microsoft technologies. We currently require a SharePoint Online User Support Analyst to assist with SharePoint adoption globally within UNICEF, and provide support to power users, site owners, and end-users on SharePoint applications/site usage and customization requirements. The SharePoint User Support Analyst will also be expected to produce end user documentation and training materials. The SharePoint User Support Analyst should possess a broad knowledge of MicrosoftSharePoint Online integrated solutions.
Assignment Tasks
Assist UNICEF business users to use the features of UNICEF's SharePoint Online based collaboration and publishing sites that address specific business needsProvide coaching and mentoring to business users as required on an ad-hoc and informal basisAssist SharePoint power users with a proactive customer support focus ensuring staff are able to effectively leverage solutions and follow best practicesAssist SharePoint site owners with their customization requirements and site administration responsibilitiesRespond to SharePoint related service calls received through Global Help DeskMaintain and help prioritize the issues list, enhancement list and knowledge-based list on tips and best practicesProduce end user materials, i.e. job aids, best practices, techniques, tips, solution recipes, FAQs, and online simulations for the online SharePoint Collaboration Centre covering site buildingProvide proactive training and coaching to staff during site building exercises and in more formal sessions (in person or online) to increase adoption and use of best practicesProvide testing assistance following the development of new features and functionality for the standard collaborative team sites.Qualifications of Successful Candidate
Education
University degree, preferably in technical, education, communications, or literature fields.
Years of relevant experience
5+ years IT experience in a corporate or large non-profit setting4+ years MS SharePoint, with good hands-on experience of SharePoint Online/Office 3652+ years of experience providing technical user support2+ years developing end user documentation and training materials and/or training curriculum for web based applications.In addition, please note the following requirements:
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/JQuery, XML is desirableAbility to build Infopath Forms isdesirableKnowledge and ability to work with core SharePoint features (i.e. document libraries, lists, web parts, app parts, workflows, metadata, taxonomy, search, site settings and configuration, user administration) is requiredExposure to SharePoint Designer isdesirableExperience troubleshooting, supporting, and/or administering Microsoft SharePoint OnlinePassion forlearning new technology and ability to learn quicklyAbility to think flexibly, independently and strategically to resolve client issues, often interacting with other support or client teamsCandidate must be self-motivated, demonstrate very strong initiative, and be able to prioritize and self-direct workAbility to successfully manage the overall process of incident resolution from initial call through resolutionAbility to follow-up on escalated issues to ensure timely resolutionAbility to document incidents and resolutions completelyStrong troubleshooting and overall problem solving skillsAbility to be self-starter and to work with minimum supervisionExperienced in a multi-cultural and gender sensitive work environmentExcellent communication skills, written and verbalCandidate must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills.Please note that candidates must be authorized to work in the US.
