Purpose of the Assignment: to review and contribute to improvement of existing policies and standards in support of social work for children with the focus on quality assurance components.

The international consultant will work with the national consultant (hired by UNICEF office separately) on access to key informants and data sources.

A table of approx.. 15 pages with the suggested legislative amendments and justification stating the reference to the international standards
International practices, mapped out national guidelines, instructions and tools, reviewed forms guiding the social workers in health, education, social welfare, courts and probation in needs assessment, family plans and closing the cases (8 days)

Preparation and submission of the final report and the policy brief (10 days)

Final report of approx.. 30 pages with 3 pages executive summary and the policy brief (using UNICEF’s suggested format) covering gaps in policies and standards, bottlenecks on quality assurance of social work, recommendations for improvement and unified forms. The content of the final report will be finalised upon the completion of the field work.
