As Chief of Party (Madad) you will provide leadership of the programme through coordinating programmatic, technical, logistical and administrative management components in order to ensure project objectives are achieved in a manner that meets donor expectations and that is in line with the agreed programme budget and plan. The position holder will manage four country program managers, coordinate the actions of an Amman level support team and work with the project Steering Committee to ensure that each partner delivers their parts of the programme (in the event of any performance issues at partner level the Steering Committee is responsible for supporting the Chief of Party with what s/he needs to achieve the agreed plan and meet donor expectations).
Requirements include:
· Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Community Development, Social Science, International Studies or relevant field.
· 5 years of experience in managing field operations, large grants and or consortia.
· Experience coordinating a variety of stakeholders.
· In addition to English, the ability to speak German, French, Arabic or Turkish preferred. Citizens from EU preferred.
· Ability to travel for up to 40% of the time to the four field countries, Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey and Iraq (or other countries as required).
